Erb's journey to this pinnacle of high school softball began with an immediate impact. As a freshman in 2023, she launched a solo home run on her very first high school pitch against Eastern, signaling the start of a spectacular career. That season, she powered out an impressive 21 home runs, followed by 15 more in her sophomore year, which crucially contributed to Western's historic Class 3A state championship title. Over her junior and senior seasons, Erb added another 34 home runs, surpassing Ava Ratliff of Bedford North Lawrence to become Indiana's all-time leader with a staggering total of 50 career home runs.
