New Leadership at Edmonds City Finance Department

Richard Gould has recently taken on the role of Finance Director for the City of Edmonds. His appointment was approved by the City Council on February 4th, following a nomination from Mayor Mike Rosen. Gould officially commenced his duties on February 28th. With an extensive background in municipal finance spanning over two decades, Gould brings valuable expertise to the city.

Previously, Gould held the position of finance manager in Port Townsend and served as finance director in North Bend. He expressed enthusiasm about joining the Edmonds team, highlighting his passion for recognizing and utilizing employees' strengths to achieve outstanding results. Gould is looking forward to working alongside the highly skilled staff within the city's finance department.

Outside of his professional life, Gould enjoys spending time with his family, which includes five children and seven grandchildren. They often attend various sports events, cheering on their kids who participate in tennis, basketball, and volleyball. Gould’s commitment to both his career and family exemplifies dedication and balance, qualities that will undoubtedly benefit the City of Edmonds.
