From Bulldog to Seminole: Peeples' New Chapter
Peeples' Transition to Florida State's Baseball Program
Talented outfielder Ty Peeples, previously with the Georgia Bulldogs, has officially announced his commitment to join the Florida State Seminoles. Following a single season in Athens, Peeples is now set to bring his skills to Tallahassee, where he anticipates a more substantial role with the Seminoles.
Peeples' Contributions During His Time with the Bulldogs
Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 188 pounds, Peeples showcased his valuable speed and athleticism on the basepaths during his tenure at Georgia. Despite appearing in 32 games, his plate appearances were limited to just 17, as he was frequently utilized as a pinch-runner in critical game situations throughout the 2026 season. His potential for stardom at FSU is high, marking the end of his brief period with the Bulldogs.
Offensive Prowess and Future Expectations for Peeples
Peeples concluded his freshman year with an impressive .294 batting average, achieved despite his restricted opportunities at bat. The promising sophomore secured five hits and drew six walks, demonstrating his offensive capabilities. He is expected to take on a significantly larger role at Florida State, aiming to build on the flashes of potential he displayed in Athens. The Bulldogs, in turn, will be seeking new talent to fill the void left by Peeples' departure.
Georgia Baseball's Recent Performance and Roster Changes
The Georgia baseball team finished their season with a strong overall record of 53-14, including a 23-7 record in the SEC. However, the offseason has seen several player transfers, with Peeples' move being one of them. Notably, former Georgia right-handed pitcher Jordan Stephens also recently committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks after two seasons with the Bulldogs.
